Differing from the first fanfiction, this story has a really nice intro. It eases the reader back into the world while adding their own twists to it. This fanfiction does not continue straight on from the end of the film, which I actually like because it leaves a sort of grey area that the author can play with. For example Lady Catherine dies during the time after Elizabeth and Darcy's marriage. However I do feel that the author has jumped right into an attack very quickly after the intro, already in the first chapter there is a lot going on, I almost would've left the horde attack till the end of the chapter if not the beginning of the second. I believe if you're going to do a time-jump from when the readers last saw our characters, you need to catch them up on what's going on for our cast now.
